Flush or be Flushed

In American laungaue we usally all the bathroom the john though most americans don't know why we call it the john. The origin of the phrase we use can be traced all the way back to england. Sir John Harrington was the first guy to invent the flush toliet for him and his godmother the Queen of England. Sir John Harrington was born on 1561 at Somerset England. He was a part of the Queen Elizabeths the 1st court. His nickname was the queens saucey grandson. Sir John Harrington is the son of a poet named John Harrington and his seconed wife Issabella Markham. It has not been established if Sir John Harrington is related to John Harrington, the first Baron Harrington of Exton. It is assumed, though, that he also belong to the descendants of the Lord Harrington of Aldingham. He invented the first flushing toilet in Britain. The toilet was called the ajax this coming from the old word for the toilet "a jakes". After the queen died he was sent to prison because of his cousins debt. He got brought out of prison by King James the 1st and he became a knight of bath.

The Earth Revolves Around The Sun

Nicolaus Copernicus was born on feburary 19 1473. He was born in a torun poland. He was the first one to think of a heliocentric cosmology which moved the earth out of the center of the solar system. The way he figured it out by looking at the stars and the way they moved around the earth and how the sun moved around the earth. He published his own book in 1543 just before his death. The book was called De revolutinibus orbium coelestium. The church was furious with him they basically told him he was nuts. That it wasn't possible because if that was the case than why did God create us. The theory did not make sense to them and it wasn't possible to prove so he got told to go away. Based on different documents some say he was sentenced to house arrest. There are others that say he was burned alive and others still that said he died from depression. His work eventually went down in history as a landmark it was called the Copernicus Revolution. It eventually stimulated further investagations.

Inventions and scientific discoveries of the rennisance

The Italian Rennisance is awsome. There are lots of cool things to learn about with the Italian Rennisance. The Italian Rennisance was full of new and great ideas. Johhan Gutenburg created a really useful invention. The invention was orginally thought of because he was a gold smith and he figured there could be an easier way of engraving the gold with letters besides creating new letters every time he had to engrave gold. So he created a printing press that had removable letters and symbols that could be used more than once. This made it easier and cheaper for poor people to have somthing copied. The first book to be created on the printing press was the Bible. They named it the gutenburg Bible. To this day more copies of the bible have been printed than any other book.
