Flush or be Flushed
In American laungaue we usally all the bathroom the john though most americans don't know why we call it the john. The origin of the phrase we use can be traced all the way back to england. Sir John Harrington was the first guy to invent the flush toliet for him and his godmother the Queen of England. Sir John Harrington was born on 1561 at Somerset England. He was a part of the Queen Elizabeths the 1st court. His nickname was the queens saucey grandson. Sir John Harrington is the son of a poet named John Harrington and his seconed wife Issabella Markham. It has not been established if Sir John Harrington is related to John Harrington, the first Baron Harrington of Exton. It is assumed, though, that he also belong to the descendants of the Lord Harrington of Aldingham. He invented the first flushing toilet in Britain. The toilet was called the ajax this coming from the old word for the toilet "a jakes". After the queen died he was sent to prison because of his cousins debt. He got brought out of prison by King James the 1st and he became a knight of bath.
